What Is LAN
LAN stands for Large Area Network with a bandwidth of small areas (about a few kilometers) like Buildings, Office, Schools, Universities, Hospital Etc. It has a better network speed (about 100mbps).
What Is MAN
MAN stands for Metropolitan Area Network with average bandwidth (about 5-50 kilometers) within towns or cities and it has a moderate network speed (about 5-10mbps).
What Is WAN
WAN stands for Wide Area Network with great bandwidth (about 100,000 Kilometers) within larger geographical regions or countries and it has a lower network speed (about 128kbps-5mbps)
Difference Between LAN, MAN & WAN

- WAN is also easy to maintain but more costly by both LAN or MAN.
- WAN is owned by the private also but mostly owned by the public.
These three network types have three main differences of bandwidth, speed, prices, in which less bandwidth cost less price with a great speed network, on the other hand, average bandwidth cost average price with average network speed and higher bandwidth cost higher price with lower network speed.
